The people behind Nu.Liv
Nu.Liv was founded by people who believe that furniture should feel considered, honest and long-lasting.
Our role is to curate pieces that fit naturally into calm, lived-in spaces. Furniture that does not demand attention, but earns it over time.
That same approach guides how we work as a team: quietly, thoughtfully and with care.
Co-Founder
Alexander Schiller
Alexander values clarity, balance and long-term thinking. He is drawn to design that feels quiet and intentional — where form and function support each other without unnecessary complexity.
His perspective is shaped by an interest in sustainable structures and thoughtful growth. Rather than following fast-moving trends, he focuses on creating a foundation that allows quality, consistency and responsibility to remain at the centre of Nu.Liv’s development.
Co-Founder
Kristina Nielsen
Kristina has a deep appreciation for thoughtful design and the way furniture shapes how a space feels. For her, good furniture is not about decoration, but about atmosphere — pieces that bring calm, warmth and balance into everyday life.
Through repeated stays in Indonesia, she developed a strong connection to the country and its craftsmanship. Seeing how furniture is made, which materials are used and how much care goes into each step shaped her understanding of quality and sustainability. These experiences continue to influence the way Nu.Liv approaches materials, design and long-term value.
Kristina believes in transparency, honest communication and products that feel considered rather than rushed. Her focus is on creating a brand that feels approachable and grounded, built on trust rather than trends.
Co-Founder
Friedrich Nielsen
Friedrich is driven by a strong interest in materials, construction and the practical side of quality. He values furniture that is well made, durable and designed to last — not only visually, but structurally.
His close connection to Indonesia and long-standing engagement with local production environments have given him a realistic perspective on sourcing and manufacturing. Understanding the realities behind production allows him to make decisions that balance craftsmanship, responsibility and reliability.
For Friedrich, sustainability is closely linked to longevity: choosing solid materials, working with trusted partners and creating furniture that earns its place over time rather than being replaced.
