Welcome to The Journal – Stories Behind Nu.Liv
At Nu.Liv, we believe that beautiful living should be natural, honest, and within reach. Our journey began far from Cyprus – in the tropical heart of Southeast Asia – and is shaped by years of experience, deep friendships, and a shared passion for thoughtful design.
We are Kristina, Friedrich, and Alexander – three founders with different backgrounds but a common vision.
Kristina and Friedrich lived and worked for many years in Bali and Jakarta, running a successful online agency while discovering the quiet elegance of handwoven rattan, aged teak, and the artistry of local craftsmanship. Their time in Indonesia taught them that furniture can be more than just functional – it can tell a story, create atmosphere, and connect us to a slower, more grounded way of life.
Alexander brings a strong foundation in agency leadership and extensive experience in international trade and logistics. His understanding of global supply chains, fair sourcing, and smart import strategies is what makes Nu.Liv possible – from workshop to doorstep.
Together, we set out to build something new:
A brand that brings natural materials, timeless aesthetics, and authentic craftsmanship into modern homes – without compromising on quality, sustainability, or affordability.
We work directly with small producers and artisans, choosing materials responsibly and keeping our margins lean – so we can offer premium, handcrafted pieces at fair prices. Because we believe that soulful living shouldn't be a luxury reserved for the few.
The Journal is our way of sharing what inspires us:
The people behind our pieces, the places we’ve come to love, the process of creation – and the little moments that make life feel beautifully lived.
